Re: Please VOTE in the European Elections on 23rd May, and vote REMAIN!

I agree with you Blenkarne. He's not just treating NVN as his personal soapbox, he is doing the same thing on Nextdoor and Scooploop which are also local community sites and they are just the ones I know about. It's unpleasant, bullying, head-bashing, hugely irritating and his willingness to break u...

Re: Clapham Common playground - a disgrace

Why waste valuable public time and money on a public consultation? It's pretty obvious what equipment needs to be repaired and upgraded so just get on and do it.

The one and same Dickyd. Talk about getting your priorities in the right order  😕

His version of "brief" cracks me up. If that's a brief post I'd hate to see a long one!

Re: Debenhams in Wandsworth to close

The last time I went to Debenhams was about a year ago to buy a suitcase - and that was in the Tripp concession so it wasn't even properly Debenhams.

Re: Manifesto Pizza

Great to know. I've become fed up with Franco Manca. The toppings have gotten so stingy!

I tried another really good one with Deliveroo recently: Aubergine in Tooting. Best I've had.

Re: Debenhams in Wandsworth to close

Ahh, that's a shame. I think it might be the Southside one because the list says Wandsworth. If it was the CJ one it would be listed as Clapham Juncton or Battersea I'd think?

Re: Female dogs on heat - please don't walk them on the Common!

Well said NV husband. I'm glad the OP posted this as she's received the exact opposite response she was expecting ... hopefully she will re-consider her views and behaviour. Why should her dog who, she treats as a breeding commodity, have full access to the Common and other dogs be expected to only ...

Re: Heaver estate windows

You definitely do need permission for the Heaver conservation area. See page 77 of this: file:///C:/Users/Lenovo/Downloads/Heaver_CAAMS_part_two.pdf. I know a fair bit about it because I live in the adjacent conservation area and it's the same with my house. The document is actually reall...

Re: Heaver estate windows

Probably the best option is to move in and get recommendations from your neighbours or if they don't know, knock on the door of places that look recently renovated. I recall posts about people putting back Heaver front railings and paths and there were definitely particular companies that have those...

Re: Clapham Common playground - a disgrace

That playground was grotty even over 10 years ago when I used to take my kids there nearly every day. Then we moved into the Wandsworth area and found the one on that Common a million times nicer and better kept. The blame lays with Lambeth Council. They are absolutely bloody useless. Council tax th...

Re: Female dogs on heat - please don't walk them on the Common!

Why do you expect the owners of female dogs to apologise to you when your dog tries to f*** their dog and leaves them bleeding? I'd say you are the one that should apologise. I don't get how your dog, that you decide not to neuter, has more rights to enjoy the Common than other dogs and you expect t...

Michelle Louise hairdresser, Trinity Road

Does anyone know whether it has closed or is just being renovated? Hopefully the latter as they are really good.

Re: Residents asked if they want lorries banned from Magdalen Road

This is ridiculous if true. Magdalen Road is a wide road that was designed to carry some heavy local traffic. If you don't like that, don't live on it. It's just going to push traffic onto the smaller Earlsfield roads until residents on those roads get their own ban and then those trucks won't be ab...
