Sorry, I meant Yami, not You Me.
You Me is famous for Chinese style Korean food and not everyone likes it!

Hi,

I am a local mum and Korean.
In New Malden, Jin Go Gae, Sorabol or You Me are probably a safe bet. Locally I would recommend Hana - they have very good Jeon (pancakes), BBQ dishes and Jjigae (spicy soups).
If you would like to try gastronomic/fusion style Korean food, I heard a new restaurant just opened on Kingly street called Jinjuu is pretty good.

I hope this helps!

'Yami' in New Malden was another restaurant I tried which was very authentic.

I have been there once soon after a period of living and working in Seoul and it was fantastic. I always crave Korean food now. I would say don't overlook some of the other dishes other than the famous bbq, particularly if you are going for lunch. I always find going for barbecue ends up costing a lot as you have to buy all the sides which you don't do in Korea. The hotpot 'jigaes' are lovely especially when its cold outside and 'pajeon' which is a pancake you can have as a starter. Dolsot -bimbimbap is also a good lunch dish and very nourishing.

Hi

Not in New Maldon but have you tried Hana on Battersea Rise? The food is excellent especially their Korean BBQ options! Yum yum...

We have been going there for over 5 years and love it. It's cheaper, and more authentic than Ca Chi in Earlsfield and definitely the tastiest we have found in London. It used to be slightly better a few years ago before it became properly popular and expanded to double the original size. I'm still a massive fan though.

Hi
I love Korean food and although I often drive through New Maldon and realised it had a significant Korean prescence I didn't really think of it in terms of restautants.

I saw this article in the Standard and wonder if anyone can recommend any decent Korean restaurants in New Maldon.

They mention Jin Go Gae in Burlington Road, has anyone been?

Thanks
