Warning: Mum in attempted Balham kidnapping. Christmas present ideas. Festive lights switch on times!

Last Updated on : 13th November 2017

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

I love almost everything about Christmas!

The parties, the family gatherings, the lights and, whisper it, even the John Lewis and M&S adverts.

However, if there is one thing I would change, it’s the children’s present dilemma.

Are they too young for phones? Is an Xbox inappropriate?  Will Mr NappyValleyNet insist that Farah Slacks belong on his Christmas list? The list goes on and on and children are VERY adept at piling on the pressure. If I listened to mine I’d believe we were the national champions of “Luddite Family 2017”.

Which is why, when CP asked you this week if you could share your Christmas present ideas and what’s the right age for a first phone (click here), I found myself looking forward to your answers.

If I only I could fix it so you all say 21!
