How to stop mother-in-law visiting at Xmas? Legal to shoot down a neighbours drone? Northcote lights get one step closer!

Last Updated on : 30th October 2017

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

“And what about shops and restaurants?”

We were on our way to Devon and travelling in a convoy of cars down the M5.

We’d decided to stop at the next services and one car, a good five or so minutes ahead, had already pulled in and was calling with news of where we might eat.

“There is a Costa, McDonald’s and a Spar,” boomed the reply over the handsfree, which brought shrieks of delight from the backseat but especially from my eldest.

Five minutes later, as we walked across the car park, I realised she was carrying her wash bag.

“Errr, why have you brought that?” I asked.

“Didn’t you hear,” she beamed back, “these are really posh services, they’ve got a McDonalds and a SPA!”
