GCSE results August 2016

109 students sat the exams in summer 2016.

The headline statistics are:
24.8% of grades awarded at A* (national average: 6.5%)
62.2% of grades awarded at A and A* (national average: 20.5%)
98.7% of grades awarded at A* – C (national average: 66.9%)

% of students achieving 5 GCSEs or more: 100% (average number of GCSEs taken per child at Emanuel = 9.6)

This year 35 pupils attained 8 A and A* grades or better. The top three students attained 9A*

A list of GCSE results by department is listed in full overleaf. But please take care when comparing the results of one department with another: there is a lot of variation from year to year.
