Hi there!

I’m a PM at a Design & Build company and we always use Princess Glass on Fulham Road. Hass and his team are excellent!

Re: Nurseries in Fulham

Thank you Claudia & Giacomo! I checked and Beau Peeps only accept children between 2-5. Our daughter will be 1. Thank you Nims, that says a lot about them as organisation. Anyone heard of Peques? The Spanish-English nursery. They haven’t got back to me (which doesn’t fill me with great hope...)

Re: Artificial Grass Company Recommendations please....

Hi northernchirps, I’ve seen both Knightsbridge (mainly on my Chelsea projects) and Kensington. Both looked really good, can’t comment on the Mayfair as I’ve never seen it on a big enough area. Have you received samples? I reckon the biggest difference is in how it feels to walk on as they all look ...

Re: Artificial Grass Company Recommendations please....

Hi there, As a project manager for a design & build company in SW London I second the recommendations for Easigrass. Used them on a number of projects and their product looks great, also over time. I also agree that a shockpad is not necessary if your base is well prepared. (Also not recommended...

Re: Extending existing loft conversion

Hi Stripyshirt, I work as a Project Manager for a design and build company in SW London and I have recently worked on a project like that in SW6, although we were only allowed to go 2/3 of the bedroom below. It actually worked out to be a really lovely space and a much needed additional bedroom for ...

Re: Sliding skylights... RoofMaker vs. Glazing Vision

Hi thea! I work as a Project Manager for a Design and Build company in SW London and I deal with sourcing glazing for my customers on a daily basis. Although I have never worked with RoofMaker, I have used Glazing Vision in the past. I found them really efficient and timely and the product of a good...

Re: Basement Companies

Hi SW11er, So relieved you’ve decided to go for a reputable company rather than the cheapest quote. In my job as a project manager for a building company in SW we have often had to fix problems which arose from going with the cheapest quote. My biggest recommendation would be to ensure that the wate...

Re: Volvo Repair

Do not take your car to Volvo Chiswick! It’s the worst garage with the most rude staff, we had a horrible experience and ended up selling our car because fixing it cost us a fortune.

Re: Looking for recommendations for underpinning

No problem, happy to help. I completely agree with your SE, it’s amazing what a smallish leak can do when London clay is involved. Good luck with TW I’m curious what their findings are going to be!

Re: Looking for recommendations for underpinning

Hi SBSW, Although I can’t recommend anyone for remedial works (especially if insurance is involved) I deal a lot with Thames Water in my job (I’m a project manager for a building company in SW London). It is definitely worth pursuing the route of investigating Thames’ responsibility but brace yourse...

Re: Slim-line aluminium bi-fold doors

Hi there, It’s probably my most often sourced item for projects I run (I’m a project manager for a design and build company in SW London)! Glazing is definitely that ‘how long is a piece of string?’ product because you can literally spend endless amounts of money on it. Here are a few companies I re...

Re: Replacement double glazing sash windows

Hi madamex,
I have worked with Chris Atkins and he was a lovely chap who did a great job on one of my sites (I work as a pm for a building company in SW).

https://www.atkins-sash.com

Reasonably priced and delivers quality, very transparent with all his charges so no surprises!

Hope this helps!
