Re: Emotional affairs - all bad?

The way to look at is, if your husband was doing the same / feeling this way about another woman, would you feel upset / betrayed / cheated on.

Then you can gauge it from the point of your marriage, not yourself who is within the situation.

Re: Post chemo shampoo recommendations please

Hiya - I remember you at diagnosis - glad all is good - I'm a year and a bit post chemo and hair is going towards what it used to be (via a MASSIVE "chemo curl" stage where I had a massive afro over the summer!) But, I went straight back to using herbal essences and the dry stage only last...

Re: Car seats for toddlers on ski holidays?

Done ski transfers with my daughter as a 9 month old and 22 month old the next year and she just sat on my lap both times. Not 100% that coaches always have 3 point belts or lap belts and if lap, then no point in taking a car seat.... I know its against most instincts to be on a coach with them not ...

Re: Summer stopover in the Alps

Chamonix or Morzine. Wouldn't bother trekking to Meribel, its pretty quiet by comparison, whereas Chamonix is big for climbing, biking etc, and Morzine is very big for biking. That or Annecy, although not as "alpine"...!!

Re: Nanny Payroll

It is also perfectly possible to do it yourself. There are example contracts on NannyTax's website and once you have agreed the salary and conditions you just use HRMC's portal to put the payments through each month.

Yes, its a bit complicated when you start but once you get going its fine!!

Re: First appointment with fertility consultant - what happe

Nope, I had an early scan to work out how far along I was (3 weeks or 7 weeks) and that was a transvaginal scan.... its common practise and won't hurt anything! I turned out to be 7 weeks.... was a bit of a surprise!!

Re: Afternoon Spot at Nursery School

Unless you really need the place, I wouldn't do it. My daughter is at full day nursery and still naps most afternoons and she is nearly 2 1/2. On the odd day she doesn't, she is very tired, and can still nap for 2 1/2 hours on a Sat or Sun if she has missed more than 1 nap in the week...... I'd be t...

Re: August born child - delaying school start in private sch

I can't comment for other schools, but where I work, we wouldn't ever take a child outside of its own year as our opinion is that the secondary schools we work with don't like to then have children outside of their yeargroup. This works both ways - some parents feel their children are very advanced ...

Re: August born child - delaying school start in private sch

Any private school which knows its stuff will not let you enter a child into a year which is incorrect by basic age standards. It will cause you all kinds of problems when they come to secondary school and are out of whack. The transition from nursery to Reception is less of a change than Reception ...

Re: Partners staying on postnatal wards - C&W

I had my daughter at St Georges in 2013 and understood that any "difficult" births were prioritised into a private room and those of us with straightforward births were on the wards. This, in my eyes, "should" help the situation that any hard births / earlies / those with a need ...
