Re: Norfolk summer holidays - any suggestions most welcome!

Hey! I grew up in Norfolk, it’s beautiful! Depending what you want, the most stunning beaches are from Hunstanton all the way along the Coast to Cromer... but that part of the coast does get very very busy in the summer hols, if you choose one of those coastal towns then you want to be able to walk ...

Re: Mayfield Nursery - Earlsfield

We sent both our children there from 11 months until they left for school. We had a wonderful experience.... the staff are so lovely, and the extra space is wonderful... nothing negative to say, I really think it was the best nursery we could have chosen for our children. They made lasting friendshi...

Re: Female dogs on heat - please don't walk them on the Common!

Wow! Never before have I read a post on this site and felt more inclined to comment. This is shocking. I agree entirely with NVhusband, the dogs on Wandsworth common are ruining the common, we are unable to use the common as my eldest child is so terrified of dogs. There are, of course, many, many l...

Morning nanny required 6.45am-9am

Hello! I am looking for some help with childcare before school on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from September. Ideally from 6.45am until school starts at 9. I have two boys aged 3 & 5 and would like someone to get them up, dressed, give them breakfast and take them to school/nursery. Thanks!

Re: Husband won't help my sister with school fees

Hang on a minute... this is entirely unfair. Your husband absolutely should not be expected to pay... and I'm shocked your sister would expect it or even ask this. How can your sister allow this problem of hers (which it is) come between you and your husband and how can she (and you) allow this to c...

Re: PLEASE HELP: attacked by dogs on Wandsworth Common

I'm so sorry to hear this, it must've been a really upsetting experience. I witnessed something similar on saturday, a couple who were sat close to the pond on Wandsworth common were just tucking into their picnic when an out of control dog ran over and stole a substantial amount of food and ran off...

Re: Advice pls! - Meeting ex's new woman?

Fab advice here already. TPTP has really hit the nail on the head. Just really wanted to reinforce the fact that your children will most definitely thank you later for handling this so well. My parents were in a similar situation when they separated when I was 5 and now (nearly 30 years later) they ...

Re: School holidays - divorced parents - advice?

What do you mean what happened when I left home?! Obviously adults are away from their parents more than 3 weeks at a time. This post is about children. The poster does not want to be apart from her children for that long and I am saying I agree. I found it very difficult as a child.

Re: School holidays - divorced parents - advice?

As a child of divorced parents...who both did a wonderful job of raising my sister and I... I feel that 3 weeks is too long. We split our time exactly between both parents, and the longest we were away from our mum (or dad) at once was 10 days and that was agony for me. Your description of your bone...

Re: My neighbours are very loud

You can get your chimney stuffed which would work as a sandproof...otherwise as already suggested, I would knock on their door and just keep it vague... Say something along the lines if being able to hear absolutely everything so if after 10pm they could keep or down etc etc. good luck! Xxx

New Cleaner / Cleaning company recommendations

I know this has been asked many a time before, but I am fed up of being continually let down by my cleaning company. Using a company obviously has its benefits, but I resent having to pay an agency fee if they are not keeping up their part of the deal. Anyone have any recommendations of decent compa...
