I think that is exactly what Quirky Dovetail in Ritherdon Road does.

I have also bought a number of painted wooden items from the Northcote Road Antiques market in the past so it might be worth asking in there too.

I am looking for someone to paint my old wooden desk and somebody has told me it should be a specialist using chalk paint? Want it to be a bit more "shabby chic" and definitely a light colour. The pictures are first my desk and second how I would like it to be (ish) . Is there anyone out there who does this sort of thing?
