Boob job regrets. Never name your baby THIS! Starting school in September: what do they need to know?

Last Updated on : 18th July 2016

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few weeks you can’t have missed the “Pokemon Go” craze.

It’s a mobile game which uses “enhanced reality” (me neither) to enable the player to capture digital characters in the real world.

You also may have read that it’s causing some major issues for parents as children attempt to run rampage around churches, police stations and even The Pentagon (yes really) in attempt to capture the lurid little monsters.

My youngest, who is by far the most mature of my two children, sat me down on Saturday and explained that I needed to “have a word” with a certain member of my family.

She understood, she carefully explained, that “people played games” but there had to be a “balance” and it wasn’t “healthy to be on it all the time”.

So later that night, and I promise this is absolutely true, I had to explain to Mr NVN that he should limit his Pokemon time to one hour per day and never, ever, at the dinner table.

Here is what you’ve been talking about on NappyValleyNet:

weekly1A road by Wandsworth Common was shut due to a “WW2 bomb.” A huge police cordon closed St James Drive (click here).

“IT” posts that she regrets her boob job and would do anything to go back to her “spaniels ears”. Thanks for posting “IT” and a great insight into a hot topic (click here)

The conman is back! Doing the round in SW4 asking for money with a story about dead phones and no keys (click here)

BFW is looking for a hairdresser in the City. I’m sure there is a Carrie Bradshaw pun in there somewhere but I just can’t find it. Maybe I’ll try some more PERMutations later and see if one BOBS up! (click here)

Interesting addition to the recent discussion on girls names. It’s important to consider what they’d be shortened to, adds Nevs123. That is SO right but my personal “not-favourite” is Mystique. Wrong on so so many levels (click here)

weekly1I also mentioned this post last week but it’s had such a huge response (read by over seven thousand people in seven days) that I feel I should re-post. “A Letter to My Wife Who Does Nothing Whilst I Work Myself to Death.” Some sympathetic posts and some, perhaps, less so (click here)
