Next time we ‘pen’ this email to you we will have reached the month we’ve all be waiting for.  Yes, December is almost here and with it comes the school holidays, family gatherings, the Big Day and then full-on recovery mode.  So, for the time being, let’s continue to make merry and enjoy all that’s on offer in NappyValley where the streets are awash with mulled wine and the night skies are bright with twinkling lights.  I don’t know who loves this ‘silly season’ more – the children or us!  Keep on adding to our brilliant calendar via the little green button and don’t forget to check in daily to make sure you’re not missing out on a single thing!…click here for details

First up…

Get your jingle bells on!  It’s our NappyValleyNet festive meet-up next Friday 5th at Scoffers just off Battersea Rise.  Come in from the cold and join us for coffee and mince pies from 9.30 to 11.30am.  It’s entirely free and you’ll head home with a warm glow and a goodie bag in hand from our friends at The Lemon Tree and Independent mindbodysoul.  Spaces are limited so you must book in right here…fastest fingers first!…click here for details

Jack Frost has finally arrived!  Hat, gloves and scarves at the ready and get out to some of these festive fairs…

Don’t forget it’s the Northcote Road Christmas Lights switch on tomorrow evening at 6pm with the festivities starting from 4.30pm. Choirs from Honeywell and Belleville will help get us in the mood and BAC will be there with a mini-performance of their Christmas show, Antarctica.  And Santa will be waiting for you all in his grotto at Hamptons! Then on the Saturday, a festive market will line the street all day with lots of lovely stalls for you to peruse.  Enjoy!…click here for details

Or perhaps you’ll be nearer the Putney Christmas Market tomorrow, where Dance Grooves are holding Kids and Toddlers Street Dance Workshops to keep you warm and to get you in the mood for the turning on of the Putney lights at 6pm…click here for details

The Church of the Holy Spirit in Abbeville Village is holding it’s ‘Craft at Christmas’ fair this Saturday (click here). and Splatter Dance are offering free 20 minute sessions to any children, mums and dancing dads that would like to have a go!  Feeling festive, like a super-hero or just a little bit Frozen…?…click here for details

Balham Christmas Celebrations are on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the completion of the recent makeover, with a wandering Father Christmas and his elves, shops offering tastings, mulled wine and music with sing-along carols before the Mayor of Wandsworth turns on the lights…click here for details

And it’s Bellevue Road’s turn on 30th too with shops and stalls selling Christmas favourites and fab presents, with Father Christmas sweeping in to flick the switch on the lovely tree lights that line the promenade overlooking Wandsworth Common.  Always such a great sight!…click here for details

It’s Skylark’s Little Christmas Fair next week, with some great local names to shop and some lovely food and mulled wine to enjoy, plus Active Art for your little ones to have some crafty fun…click here for details

Join in with us on the Gambados Christmas Party on Thursday 4th and you’ll help raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital by way of shopping, disco dancing, mince-pie eating and arts and crafting.  Fun all round!…click here for details

It’s the Macaulay Primary School Christmas Fair on 5th followed by their annual Christmas tree sale at Holy Trinity on the Saturday.  Sponsored by Marsh & Parsons, both promise to fill you with festive cheer and with any luck, you’ll find the tree for you and head home to fill the house with that lovely smell of Christmas…click here for details

The White Christmas Fair arrives at Testbed1 in Battersea on the weekend of 6th, this time raising money for the Battersea Summer Scheme.  Think handmade jewellery, Christmas fare, clothing and childrenswear, a pop-up Blow Bar for your hair and gin tastings and tours at the London Distillery Company.  Brilliant!…click here for details

And it’s the Save the Children Christmas Fair at Chelsea Town Hall on 8th.  Join in on ‘A Christmas Cocktail’, with wine and canapés included, festive shopping opportunities galore and all for a charity close to many a NappyValley heart…click here for details

A bit of ice magic or perhaps some dancing on ice?  Time to get your skates on…

Furzedown Primary have got themselves an ice rink and it’s booking up fast! A day dedicated to fun, with penguins to help the little ones and polar bears if you’re bigger, plus mulled wine, food and gift stalls, hot chocolate, hot dogs and warm donuts.  A Winter Wonderland!…click here for details

The Ice rink at The Natural History Museum is in full swing in a fantastic setting with hot chocolates on hand overlooking the glittering scene.  If you don’t feel a twinkle in your toes and full of the festive spirit after a visit here, then this season’s not for you!…click here for details

For the love of books, this sounds like a goodie! Battersea’s Doodle Bar is holding ‘Storytime Sunday’ with award-winning artist, Nicola O’Byrne and Ben Mantle, author of ‘Rudey’s Windy Christmas’  reading from their books and encouraging everyone to get creative.  Fun and inspiring!…click here for details

Clapham’s Omnibus continues to keep us entertained with a constant stream of original productions and this weekend, it’s ‘Relativitively Speaking (Junior Edition)’, the winner of the Best Children’s Event Award at the Brighton Fringe.  Join Albert for a lecture like never before, accompanied by guest rapper McSquared, the genius behind the ‘ubercoolest’ moustache in science.  For 5s and up…click here for details
