Just cycled past the old car auction site on the Fulham side of Wandsworth Bridge.

Saw that they have constructed a sandy beach, loads of trestle tables and chairs and are finishing off a huge pergola there.

Looks like it will be a pop-up food market/relaxed spot for a suntan/ area to book with friends and drink (BYO only though!).

Hmm my husband thinks it will work, I'm not so sure...paying to get in (free if you come earlier) bring your own spirits that they will make into a cocktail for you for £5...hmmm,,,

I can see the fun of the "relax all day by the river" but not sure about coughing up just for a seat and the chance to buy from a food van...


But I'll have a look - better than the miles of gravestone flats that front the river now...

You're right I think TXmum.

I think it's aimed at 25-somethings to pitch up loaded with booze in a large group to stay all day and have some sort of beach party.

I'll give it a try though - just to try the food!
