We had it at ours for a while some people think the small prep's don't have good enough sports facilities for the boys as they get older? At the moment we have half boys and girls so we are happy.
The larger preps albeit having access to sports fields are quite a factory I feel with upto 3 classes in each yr. I deal with them at work and they are v professional but maybe lacking some of the personal touch. We also went to a boys under 11 football math on Sat and while the bigger preps won all their games I think our small school enjoyed them selves and won some games.
Having a sporty boy I feel you can expose them to enough sport in a small school and also with small schools they paly with everyone of mixed ability which is good to make the children tolerant there is enough time for competitive sport at senior school.
good luck
