Wrong ASD diagnosis

Was wondering if any of your dc were misdiagnosed with ASD where it later turned out to be a different issue like severe speech delay...

If anything, in our case, the ASD diagnosis became more obvious with time. I believe it can happen but very unlikely given the input that goes into a diagnosis. If you pm me I can signpost you to some FB groups and other info sources.
