Crisis in East Africa

I was watching Channel 4 news this evening as they reported from the increasingly difficult situation in Sudan and wondering what would be the best charity to donate to and also do some fund raising for. I think the DEC has run a recent campaign but Save the Children also have an appeal on. Is anyone in NappyValley doing something similar as I would happily donate to a local effort.

UK Aid is matching individuals' donations so I would strongly recommend donating through DEC on this occasion. It is horrendous and in fact I am wondering why there isn't more media coverage - the world needs to act, fast.
