I'm now 24, and eat a fairly normal diet now but from the age of 3-15 I had real struggles with eating different foods and lived on a diet of cereal, marmalade sandwiches , yogurt no bits, apples ( no skin), grapes , crisps, potato waffles...
GP was useless as was eating disorder clinics as they didn't really know what they were doing and send me under the anorexia kind of treatments even though I didn't have a problem with actually eating I could only eat certain things as I had a fear of being sick.
15-16 I started having revelations after seeing an amazing London based therapist who has a real understanding of selective eating disorder what this seemed to be,
Felix Economakis ( think the spelling is correct)

this man changed my life, I went from being scared of eating foods apart from on my ok list to loving trying new food.
Happy to chat if you want to know more as sounds very very similar to how I went as a child.
