Toddler nursery rhyme cd recommendations pls

Postby Pod » Mon Nov 24, 2014 9:42 pm

My daughter loves music and singing - I sing all the time but I'm keen to get some good CDs with all the favourites in like "happy and you know it" "wheels on the bus" "heads shoulders knees and toes" 5 little ducks etc
Tricky to know what's done well and not in an irritating voice.
Or if there's any downloads or apps for iPhone
Many thanks

My daughter loves the Amanda's Action Club cds. We have
'Fun, fitness & music with Amanda's action club' and 'Big songs for little ones' of which songs are consistantly requested 99% of every car ride. You can hear samples of the tracks on Amazon or iTunes.

Canadian singer Raffi is a good bet, popular with both the kids and parents. For live acoustic renditions you could come to my Little Folk with Albo concerts at the Colour House Theatre in Colliers Wood. The next on is on Saturday (Dec 6). I actually have Wheels on the Bus on my list for that one. Song sheets are provided and everyone sings along!

All the best,

Albo

Go to youtube and type in Busy Beavers Nursery Rhymes. The Busy Beavers stuff is great and you can subscribe to their channel. I swear by it and I guess the 54m hits they've had on the free Nursery Rhymes piece on youtube would testify the same. On the irritating scale, I'd give it a 9/10 for not being too irritating. It's American so not for you if you're looking for British voices.

My 4 year-old still loves the BBC one above, and others in that series...
