Dorset Farmhouse self-catering sleeps 16 with indoor pool, 2hrs from London

Postby launcestonfarm » Fri Jan 13, 2017 11:36 am

Morning all!

We are a farming family in Dorset with three small children and we have just converted our grade II listed Farmhouse into a boutique self-catering with a 12m indoor biomass heated swimming pool and sauna. The Farm sleeps 16 all together; we have two smaller cottages within a stone's throw of the Farmhouse that both sleep 2 so perfect for grandparents or a couple with a baby. It takes around two hours to get to us from South West London; we are within easy reach of the M3 and A303.

Since opening in October 2016, the majority of guests have been families with young children and grandparents in tow - and plenty of dogs! We have all of that ourselves so we know what works. As well as the pool which provides hours and hours of entertainment whatever the weather, the house is geared for babies and toddlers so in addition to all the equipment you might need - travel cots, stair gates, high chairs, loo seats etc - we have plenty of toys, books, dressing up, DVDs as well as a dedicated toddler play area in the Orchard with a mud kitchen, play house and sand pit as well as tree swings and a willow tipi. The Farm is a working farm so we don't encourage families into the Farmyard itself but there are lovely walks and bike rides from the farm gate which will give little ones plenty of opportunities to see some members of our organic beef herd. There are lambs grazing in the Orchard and the chickens and guinea fowl are notoriously inquisitive. The village pub is open all day; it serves local, traditional food and has a wonderful beer garden with kids play area. If you don't feel like cooking whilst you are here, we can provide catering for you.

We are offering four nights for the price of three mid-week at the moment so if you aren't tied to school holidays we have some availability over the Spring and Summer.

Any questions or enquiries, please email cath@launcestonfarm.co.uk or have a look at our website http://www.launcestonfarm.co.uk

Thank you for your time.

Catherine
