Nursery drop off time 7:30?

Postby Makichan » Thu Jan 22, 2015 11:44 am

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a nursery with a drop off time before 8am in the balham/clapham area except clapham village?

Thank you!

All of the Eveline Day nurseries open at 7:30, as does Balham day nursery (Asquith)

Our 16 month old is at Asquith and loves it. They've got really flexible hours from 7.30am (to 6.30pm I think) so would recommend looking at it.

This was awhile ago but my children went to Blundells Day Nursery and they open at 8. It worked well as I had to be at work in Sken for 9am. I did part time (collecting at 1) or full day (collecting at 6). They were wonderful, caring and flexible. Check it out. Also you could park there for free back then...doubt you can now.

I can definitely recommend Blundells as our son goes there . The drop off is 8am and pickup is 6pm. They also have 3 weeks in an year off but the staff is nurturing & caring.
It is calm, routine bound and it is a small nursery so everyone knows everyone.
Ms. Sheila and Ms. Amora are fantastic managers . All the teachers are addressed as Miss/Mr and the children are taught to be polite and have good manners.
They also have a pre-school room where the kids are taught writing ,reading, maths etc in a semi classroom set up.

Not sure how convenient it would be from Balham/South Clapham . We moved to Tooting recently and do a tube/train/bus journey to drop him off .

As far as I know the AngloSpanish nursery had put an application to start at 7.30am but I don't know whether it got accepted. Worth checking. I heard good things about that nursery.
