There's an astonishing 108 zero- or one-rated establishments in Wandsworth -- see this list http://ratings.food.gov.uk/enhanced-sea ... al1/0/1/10 and you'll surely find a few you have been to! (Like my favourite Indian on Northcote Road...)

Not shocked by The Bread Stall! I walk by there everyday and it's shocking the way they handle food. I've even written to the owner, as I wanted to do that first before complaining online and still nothing changed. Sadly I can't stomach purchasing anymore from there...

Thanks for sharing that; how appalling! :o
Indeed, also my favourite Indian, in Northcote Road...... (1*), though I have not used them for a while. . . . . . . (Maybe a good thing?), now I may no longer do so at all.

The Magic Garden is also on the list, with 1* only.....

I don't understand that with 0 or 1 star out of 6 (0-5) an establishment is allowed to continue to operate????

Is it not high time to introduce a Regulation forcing Food establishments to display (preferably in their window), their Hygiene rating!!?!
I am sure they would quickly deal with their problems, if no customers set foot in their premises any longer!

Decided to use the FSA Hygene Ratings website to check on another favourite restaurant of mine, in Northcote Road and I am very pleased to report the result:

Buona Sera: 5*

[I tried to attach a photo/screen grab of this, but it doesn't seem to work.....!?]

Shocked to see Queenswood in Battersea Square on here with a 1.

Just a note though, it's worth clicking through to the detail. 'Management of food safety' is perhaps less of concern than 'Hygienic food handling' and 'Cleanliness and condition of facilities'?

Let's hope these places quickly sort themselves out and get another inspection done quickly.

You only see the ones with 4s and 5s putting the sticker on their windows, shouldn't it be mandatory to display the up-to-date sticker for all food outlets?

How do the inspections work? Are they spot checks or do they get notice?

I've just read the entire list and there's a place I've stopped going to because I had serious concerns about its cleanliness. the last time I visited there were mice scurrying around the ladies loo...yet I see it's got a 5 rating

Lamberts has a 2 - which surprised me.
