The Department for Education has given (historically)the biggest budget of £10million to the 'Mandarin Excellence' project.

More and more schools are considering introducing Mandarin into their curriculum.

WenLin Chinese School in Balham is opening new beginners classes this autumn term.
1-3yr old Mandarin Bear class,
3-5yr old Mandarin Panda class,
5-7yr old Mandarin Bud class &
7yr + beginners class.

As a YCT (Youth Chinese Test) centre, our students all passed their first YCT test in May with outstanding results, many gained 100% . We help children to learn Mandarin in a fun and engaging way. Our students tell us that they love learning Mandarin and want to learn Mandarin everyday!

All WenLin Chinese teachers are native Mandarin speakers with a pure Northern Mandarin accent (the official Mandarin pronunciation standard). So your children will start their Mandarin learning journey with WenLin Chinese School by setting up a solid systematic foundation.

Class time are 9:30am-11:30am and 12:30pm - 2:30pm, Saturdays, term time. Venue: New building, Chestnut Grove Academy, Balham SW12.

Only three more spaces left for the 7yr+ Mandarin Bud I class at 9:30am-11:30am, Saturdays, term time. This class is designed for total beginners who are keen language lovers. For children over 12yr old and passed our Youth Chinese Language Test in May 2018 (Level one 80words), will have the opportunity to attend funded Summer holiday camp in China, in Summer 2018. A few parents have asked us if we could open a mandarin class for the grown ups. We are looking for a few more takers to make is a fun class. The class time is likely to be 12:30pm - 2:30pm, for total beginners level. Starting on the 9th Sep. If you have learnt some Mandarin and wish to learn further, we can definitely help as well.
