Party Planner Wanted

Throwing a party this spring and would like to hire a small events coordinator/party planner.  It will be a relatively small event (50 guests) at a private residence but we need someone to handle decorations, hiring a light up dance floor, caterers, etc.  Any recommendations?

Re: Are you testing for covid? I feel guilty but don't want to be the only one in London testing!

I think if you feel poorly and you have a social engagement you should test.  I've just tested positive for Covid myself and was slated to see my elderly parents for Christmas but might not be able to.  I do realise I could have caught it from someone who was asymptomatic but if I did catch it from ...

Re: Oliver House School, Alderbrook or Broomwood?

We moved from overseas and put our children into Oliver House and think it's one of the best/luckiest decisions we've ever made.  We are Catholic but eat meat on Fridays and don't make it to Mass all the time etc.  We love how much emphasis they place on character education.  Lots of other schools t...

Re: teenage boy staying over with girlfriend

I think if parents consent they are telling their children they are ready- which I just don't believe is true for teenagers.  It's hard enough a stage in life and here we are throwing sex into the mix?  When you have sex- you are engaging in the most physically and emotionally intimate moments of yo...

Re: teenage boy staying over with girlfriend

It wouldn't even occur to me to say yes to this request!  Let's be honest- the request is whether or not they can have sex.  If you're not comfortable granting your permission I wouldn't hesitate to ask that they have separate sleeping arrangements.  Whether they are or are not doing it anyway is an...

Re: Opinions wanted - 12 yr old commuting alone w/ headphones on

All good input- thank you for taking the time to respond.   He wears the run of the mill kind of headphones and doesn't wear expensive things but between the headphones and the amount of hair he's letting drape over his eyes it's like he's reenacting a scene from Bird Box every time he steps out the...

Opinions wanted - 12 yr old commuting alone w/ headphones on

I'm looking to gauge whether or not I'm being over-protective or too late in trying to sort this (ie the ship has sailed and I'm out of order doing anything now!)  My son is about to turn 13 and travels 45 minutes to school (overground & tube.) He's done so for a year now but has been shepherded...

Re: Recommendation for Microblading please?

Sian Dellar did mine 2 years ago.  Best money I ever spent on anything beauty-related.   https://www.permanentmakeup-specialist.com/ You will have to have them re-filled at least once after the first year.  The color fades ever so slightly but still- the shape and fill have repaired what my overzeal...

Early Saturday Morning Garden Usage?

Looking for opinions- This past Saturday, my husband had his trainer over and they decided to use the garden to take full advantage of the good weather. Normally he heads to the common but I needed him close by that morning (long story...) In any event, the session started at 8.30am and I asked them...
