Re: How Can anyone vote Tory next week?

As long as the Tory party is the only one who has the guts to say what a woman is and that biological men should not compete in female sport, I, as a woman sickened by the vile misogyny of the trans aggressive movement, will not be voting anything other than Tory for the foreseeable future.

Re: how much allowance for a sixteen year old

No child living at home needs an allowance. What on earth would a 16 year old do right £100/month?

Re: Face masks

You seriously need to grow up, stop reading the daily mail, stop arrogantly and foolishly telling people to educate themselves, and toe the line. I’m wager you have zero scientific or medical background. I can’t imagine how tedious it must be being a scientist or doctor and having to put up with thi...

Re: Face masks

Idiotic post. Wearing a mask doesn’t protect your or others 100%. It adds a degree of protection.

Re: can someone please clarify, are cleaners allowed in lockdown

To be clear, you are not theoretically immune. I personally know several people who have had it twice. It’s dangerous for anyone to assume that. Also, you can still transmit the virus even if you are immune.

Re: How big is the academic gap between Honeywell and Newton Prep?

Honeywell does very well getting children into good independent schools but lots of people tutor on top. A much cheaper option! My daughter is at jags and has a few friends from there. If your child is sporty, however, there isn’t much provision for it at a state school. Also, heard a few negative t...

Re: What's the going rate for an au pair in London?

I pay 120 all in. She only does about 15-20 hours but you can’t live on much less, with travel, phone I need her to have, etc.

Re: In-laws voted leave. They've removed my children's freedom of movement and I can't cope with seeing them any longer.

Errr, no. Hello Irish backstop? Hello trade agreements that cannot be set up? Bit of a silly emotional fact-ignoring comment!

Re: Paying for childcare cash in hand - what's the view?

firsttimersw11 Brilliant: “As long as both parties are amenable to it, there shouldn’t be a problem.” As long as both people agree to act immorally and illegally, there shouldn’t be a problem because you are from a country where corruption is rife. Extraordinary thought process!

Re: Paying for childcare cash in hand - what's the view?

It’s completely unacceptable and a practice that a lot of people round here thing is acceptable. There are so many rich families with full time live in staff who for some reason think that the law should not apply to them (I’m not saying that everyone is rich but just pointing out that even people w...

Re: Au pair and housework!

I think that the above should be taken as a guide only. I'm certainly happier with mine doing the family's ironing (not very arduous if no men's shirts, big double duvets etc!) than driving my kids around esp in central London (huge responsibility!). Unreasonable host families will find a way to be ...

Re: vit supplements for children?

Nope, it was adding to the discussion, hence didn't say "petal". I see a lot of children running around with pink (burnt) skin and some people think that if it goes the next day it's ok and the sun is good for them. Even people who I would credit with having a lot of common sense. Because ...
