Re: Can we leave one family out of a group holiday?

Invite all of them, as you usually do and it is then on the other 2 families to say no if they don't wish to come, giving them the opportunity to come clean with the reason to your best friend if need be.  To say that they don't want the 4th to be invited puts the onus on you, and a complete cop out...

Re: neice to join extended family holiday to isolate, madness!

Probably time to turn it all around.  After Hancock told the nation to 'act as if you have it', it appears to have been taken literally, and for too long now.  The many holes in the narrative are gradually getting bigger as more and more information is being garnered.  We know that the PCR tests are...

Re: How do I stop my mum over sharing details about my life?

It really is not your responsibility to manage her feelings, same as she is not responsible for yours. So that put aside, tell her what you need to tell her in the way it needs to be told in order for her to fully understand that your personal business is none of hers.  You might find that you need ...

Re: wife embarrassing in company when she drinks

Have just been listening to someone on the other side of something similar and it was very interesting to learn that they can now see just how much they were a part in keeping the issue in place.  To explain a little more, and not saying this is true for you but may be worth looking in this directio...

Re: Hand sanitizers for children

Hi MamaMoomin - I would be doing some extremely serious research into the actual usage of Hand Sanitisers for everyone, and especially children.  Seems everyone is happy to go along with it with complete disregard for what problems are on the way due to using them.  It is not what they were designed...

Re: Next door vegan neighbours objecting to us barbecuing

Hi Meatandveg I really feel for you.  I have sat with it mulling over for a while.  Seems to me that I would carry on doing what I always do, neither more nor less than usual.  It is so easy to dive down the rabbit hole of trying to appease your neighbours and long term it will no doubt lead to more...

Clipnclimb free toddler session

I tried making a booking through the link sent out this week.  I read it as booking a toddler with an adult would result in the toddler being free, expecting to pay £5.50 for the accompanying adult. When putting in the NVplaydate code at the checkout I was told that I was not fulfilling requirements...

Re: No more lost baby socks! Socks belts are wonderful!

Hi StrRock

I find that a pair of knitted tights work as they can't be pulled off like socks.  Works for both boys and girls as babies and as they get older.  Great for wearing indoors and just popping an extra layer of trousers or whatever on if going out in the cold.

Re: Am I Right To Be Miffed About This Lack Of Consideration? Your Opinions Please!

When (she) I picked the bike up (I) she saw that (she) I was having trouble lifting it into (her) my 4x4... (I) she could have helped (her) me lift it it but instead pretended (I) she didn't notice and shut the front door!  Could so easily have been written by the other woman under the same heading?

Re: Knitted baby clothes

Hi Lucysc Wondering if it might be worth linking in with local mid-wives and maternity wards in hospitals as they must be in frequent contact with parents of new born premies that would be grateful to know where they can buy little cardigans.  The same for non premies.  Not necessarily just local ei...

Mid-life Crisis

Finding myself embroiled in my husband's 'mid-life crisis' about 7 years ago, it shocked me to the core. I thought it was 'a red sports car' kind of thing!  I have been to hell and back.  With book-shelves full of all the self-help books you can imagine and thousands down on a myriad of courses both...
