Re: Wanted - someone to make a beautiful cabinet!

Dave English will probably be able to help you. He's local and has a good reputation. BTW, I have no personal connection to him, but have seen some of his work done for a few friends and have been impressed!

Re: (Wedding) dress designer/maker

I can highly recommend Melanie Baker. She's local. And I've seen two wedding dresses that she's designed and made. One was for a 'mature bride' (second marriage and low-key registry office wedding). Both dresses were stunning.

Here's her website

Re: Professional oven cleaners - does anyone have a recommendation please?!

Bumping for anyone around over the weekend who might be able to give a recommendation!

Much to my embarrassment my own oven cleaning techniques haven't been as good as they should have been. Hence my looking for a professional company who will come and do a 'one-off' proper and deep-clean.

Professional oven cleaners - does anyone have a recommendation please?!

I'm trying to find a professional company to come and clean my oven. Of course, Google is always a 'friend' - but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack! It would be nice to get some personal recommendations from anyone who has used a professional oven cleaning service locally. Many thanks.

Re: Justice of the peace in London

In the UK - well at least in England and Wales - you do not need a JP to verify your documents, as far as I know. If you need 'certified' copies of any documents - whether it be your passport, driving licence or any other official/legal document - you can go to a solicitors (lawyers) office with you...

Re: Looking for a Pub kitchen to host Supper Clubs

I think you might be on the wrong thread, michelle!

Good suggestion from llorwa, as I suspect that you'll be unlikely to find a pub that will be able to 'lend' you their kitchen as, presumably, their kitchens will already be catering for their evening customers who are eating.

Re: Traffic jam Wandsworth Common caused by deliveries to pub

You could email the Manager of The Hope on Bellevue Road https://www.thehopepub.co.uk/ expressing your concerns. Maybe even link to this thread on your email?! IIRC, there used to be - and maybe still are - at least two decent sized loading bays on Bellevue Road for commercial deliveries. I guess th...

Found. Child' hobby horse. Needs rescuing!

A child's hobby horse was found in the Nightingale pub (Nightingale Lane, SW12) having been left in there at some point over the busy Easter weekend. The Manager, Ian Marsden, is taking care of 'Dobbin' but hopes that he will be rescued by his owners soon! Please speak to Ian, or any of his staff, o...
