Re: Best time of the week for a children’s choir rehearsal?

I guess it depends on the age of the youth choir you are targeting. You are always going to come up against other clubs.

I think Mondays tend to be a quieter evening.

Would love to know more details

Re: Thomas's Clapham, Belleville or Honeywell?

Everyone is going to have different experiences. I had one child who did well and Belleville and it suited them but I pulled the other one out and moved them to Honeywell, which they thrived in. Both are now in independent secondary schools and I am happy that I saved the money on Independant primar...

Re: Thurleigh Road Practice

Unfortunately the surgery is now a joke. Impossible to get an appointment and the admin side is ridiculous. I asked for a referral 2 months ago and some paperwork had to be filled in. I chased via email 4 times, I went into the surgery and I also spoke to a nurse but still no one even bothered to re...

Re: Applying for an EHCP

Am EP report will help, but you will need more than that. I got a log from my sons school which displayed his behaviour on a daily basis. I also got reports from clubs he did to build up a picture. Batul Darlby at CF practice in Harley St is amazing, as is her practice. You explain why you are seeki...

Re: Child with ASD - Honeywell, Belleville, Ravenstone, Beatrix Potter, Allfarthing or Swaffield?

My ASD son in thriving at Honeywell, having moved from Belleville, which was awful for him. If you have an EHCP then that will help him get the support he needs. I looked at Ravenstone and Sacret Heart when moving my sons school. I was impressed with both. Honeywell is also great, and they do have a...

Re: ADD Child struggling with friendships

I can only reiterate what the previous poster has said.

Don’t overlook the benefit of medication. It literally turned my sons life around and he was able to make friends. It was a joy to watch the difference.

Good luck with whatever you decide

Re: Dulwich College - yr7 2023

Thanks or your reply. They might not end up in the same class but if they are local, then they would be getting the school bus together and therefore less scary for them in the first few weeks. I have some other parents/boys already interested in joining a whats app group. This is just to make their...

Re: Do we have rights to see the exam results after 11 plus.

I actually spoke to Emanuel about their SEN provision. It was shocking. I specifically asked if any of their students had an EHCP and the response was “we had one of those once, and it wasn’t without it’s problems”. I was so shocked that a person who is supposed to be supporting SEN actually said th...

Dulwich College - yr7 2023

Hi there

My son got in to yr7 2023 at Dulwich College and I was wondering if anyone else’s son did too?

Would be great for the boys to meet and get to know each other so Sept is not so scary for them.

Re: Views on Streatham and Clapham Girls senior school please

Academically they are very supportive. There is a mix of ability and they don’t overload them at first. My daughter is no in yr8 and they have started adding into the termly report which quarter they are in so you know what grade they are likely to get if they do that subject at GCSE. Pastoral care ...

Re: Views on Streatham and Clapham Girls senior school please

My daughter is in yr 8 and she absolutely LOVES it. The school are very encouraging and supportive. They are communicative and friendly. They gradually build the academics up, so the first year is not overwhelming. What I also like is the fact they don’t give homework over the holidays so the kids a...
