Re: Killer Clown Incident Wimbledon Common Police Called

3 clowns were at St Joseph's College in Beaulah Hill. One pulled out a knife and threatened a teacher and terrorised year 7 boys.. One was caught but 2 got away on bikes. This nonsense has to stop.

Re: What shoes should mums wear these days?

I bought these boots from Fly London. Very comfortable and easy to slip on and off. Good if you do lots of walking. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fly-London-Wome ... ndon+shoes

Re: Alert to a Disturbing individual in SW17

I recently saw a news article about this in the Wandsworth Guardian. I have children at the school and am angry that this happened outside the school gates yet the school didn't bother to inform the parents. Lots of times I see parents drop off their children at either end of Fircroft Road and then ...

Re: Sadiq Khan MP - what are people's experiences

I too have written to him about some issues but never got a reply. I wonder if it had to do with me once telling one of his canvassers I was not a labour supporter :)

Re: Gerry McGrattan - COWBOY builder

robertGarrett81 sorry to hear of your bad experience. We too have had a nightmare with a cowboy builder and I agree with robertGarrett81, the police do nothing as they consider it a civil matter. Even when our builder did a runner an later entered into our garden and took our tools from our garage t...

Re: Letterbox changing into yet another estate agents?

I live in Tooting, and I would be grateful if our area was inundated by estate agents. What we get are lots of pound shops and betting shops.

Re: How do i get rid of mice?

Had a mouse problem but bought baits, traps, sonic repellent and that seemed to be the trick, no sight of a mouse and no droppings, or nibbles in my bananas (yes, these mice ate bananas and potatoes  ) for a good 6 months. however, the other day I saw a mouse! I am curious though as I have se...

Re: Fircroft Primary School

There was a previous thread about Fircroft (pg. 7) in which a poster made some negative remarks which i commented on as being quite offensive. You are right, people make assumptions on a school without having first hand knowledge of a school. my child is at Fircroft and I can say that I am happy with...

Re: open days for secondary schools

Look on the wandsworth website http://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/info/20008 ... ool_places and it lists all the open evenings/mornings. Not everyone goes private. :)

Re: Car Mechanic wanted

I know it's not "Nappy Valley", but I go to Aldren Motors in Earlsfield, 4 Aldren Rd London SW17 0JT, 020 8946 6206. Sy is the mechanic and Glen I think runs the garage. Both are nice and friendly and honest. Their prices are also reasonable and I have never felt like I was over charged or...

Re: Fircroft Primary School

"I don't think it is a secret that Asian cultures have a lower propensity towards sport for their children and playdates and sleepovers." I take offense at this as well. It borders on racist, if you ask me. And just who told you that there is no sport at Fircroft. I do not think the head ...

Re: Nursery for 2 year old Wandsworth Common

Derinton Family Centre in Tooting is really good. The staff are really kind and my child really enjoyed going there. They are also flexible with there sessions. My child had the morning 3 hr session and occasionally would stay on for lunch. The rates at that time (2 years ago) were 6 pounds for a 3 ...

Re: Fircroft Primary School

I know this thread is old, but I feel I need to comment on this. My children go to Fircroft and I did take offense at what Tamara said about "diversity". Yes, Fircroft has lots of non-white students, but I think that diversity is what makes it a good school. Children should learn at an ear...

Re: Fircroft School

My children go to Fircroft and I am very happy with the school. The headteacher is wonderful and it really does feel like a big family. There is also an active PTA which funds lots of wonderful things for the school such as Apple Mac's and a new playground. The diversity is one of the things I like ...
