There is one in st stephen's church, Wier road, at 10am on Wednesdays. It gets quite busy, so you need to be there by 10am to get in. There is also one there on Mondays but can't remember the time (there is a poster on the front door with details).

Clapham NCT also run quite a few - they are all listed on their webpage, including one in Balham on Friday afternoons.

Acorn is every morning and I think they let the first 5 in on the waiting list. During our year long wait for a place, we never got turned away if we were there at 10am on the dot.

Adventure Island has story time (story and singing) each morning and includes softplay afterwards.

As someone else has said, the one o'clock clubs are also great. The one on tooting common has a lovely outside space and they have nursery rhymes and story time too.

If it's a great play group you'll get people coming in droves, no matter where it is. Exciting activities, healthy snack, songs and fun toys is all you need. Good luck and keep us posted!

Thanks

There's a great playgroup on Malwood Rd, every Thursday morning. They have 2 sessions, one at 9.15 and one at 11am. It's in the Ascension Church and it's a drop in, £2 per family.

There's also lots of drop in playgroups on Weir Rd, I think in St.Stephens Church.

Good luck!

Hi,

Acorns (the playgroup at the methodist church on Ramsden Road) have opened their waiting list this week. They allow 2 people from the waiting list in per session, i think you have to get there at 10am to get a chance of being the first 2. However I think it's worth it, a great group for kids and the ladies that run it are wonderful. Other than that perhaps Rhyme time at Balham library or the One o clock clubs at Tooting or Wandsworth Common? x

Hi
We just moved in the area and would love to join a playgroup as we used to in Fulham. We tried the methodist church on kyle rd and the one in ramsden rd at the baptist church but they have a year long waiting list!
Anyone knows of somewhere that would take us 'unfortunate' people that have just moved here and that have not signed up their kids from birth?
Thanks
