Library incident: help find boy. Spike in prestige (posh!) car thefts! How much pocket money?

Last Updated on : 16th October 2017

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

“And that’s how 360 degree feedback works!”

The children looked at Mr NVN with very blank faces but he elected to press on.

“So to help stop all the arguments about bedtime/screen-time/not-doing-homework-time we can all write down how we feel about each other on a piece of paper, mix them all up and then discuss it in a group.”

He’d heard about this technique at work and thought it might be an interesting exercise at home.

And if by interesting he really meant irritating then I had to agree.

After a few moments he unfurled all the bits of paper and started to read the comments to himself.

“Hmm, I think we may need to do a little bit of work here,” he said.

“‘Smelly’ and ‘poo-poo head’ are not very friendly and…,” he stared right at me as he realised who had written this particular 360, “I think someone in particular needs to be a little more mature in their feedback.”
