Fatal Balham Porsche hit and run. Architect suspended for “botched” loft. New pool coming to SW12

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

We’ve just been sacked by our babysitter.

We were dumped the morning after an evening when she was meant to be looking after two children, but the numbers unexpectedly increased when our friend’s sitter cancelled.

So she ended up with four.

Her text was lovely and sweet, blaming forthcoming exam commitments, but the children’s stories, which had been emerging throughout breakfast, left us in no doubt as to the real reason.

“I’ll offer her more money,” was Mr NVN’s suggestion as he tapped a reply to her “Dear John text” and whilst I’m not normally a fan of that approach, in these circumstances agreed.

We did have a lot of work/school/social nights out on the horizon.

His phone pinged almost by return.

“She says thanks for the offer,” he read out loud, “but suggests we spend the money on an exorcist instead.”

There was a pause.

“There is a smiley emoji at the end, does that mean she’s joking?”

Here is what you’ve been talking about on NappyValleyNet:
