Cranial Osteopath

Postby HoneyB » Thu Jul 10, 2014 10:29 am

Any recommendations for a Cranial Osteopath to see a 6 week old baby in the Clapham/Balham area. Want to see if it might help with silent reflux.

I would highly recommend Alex Jones at Putney Osteopaths. He worked miracles with both my daughters & their reflux problems. In fact after just the first session my eldest daughter was like a new baby.
Good luck.

I went to the OCC in Wandsworth with my 6 week old and they were fantastic. Its a charity and all the babies get treated in one room, it's all very relaxed and my daughter seemed to completely chill out when we went. It's a suggested donation of £35 a session but you pay what you can afford and think it's worth. The website is http://occ.uk.com

Good luck, I hope it works!!

I took my son to see Philip Hartley at Balham Osteopathic Practice, just off Bedford Hill. He was lovely and I could see a big difference in son after treatment.

I've heard good things about all the recommendations on this thread - good luck

Naval Mair who is based in the Royal Patriotic building is brilliant. I took my daughter at a similar age. One of the reasons I thought he was so good was he actually stopped our first appointment halfway through and told me to take my daughter to the gp and come back for the rest of the appointment the next day.

He was recommended to me by a friend who is a dr and took both her boys to see him with really good results.

Everything settled down with my daughter by 10 weeks, I don't know if it was Naval or the drugs we got from the dr. But I'm pregnant again and already planning to take the baby to see Naval at the first sign of any issues.

Forgot to add, we also found we could claim the appointment back on our health insurance. Which I was pleasantly surprised by. I don't know if it's all insurance providers but may be worth looking to see if you are covered.

We used David Isherwood on Kelmscott Road for my daughter who had serious problems after a forceps delivery and he was fantastic. I went back with my son to resolve a reflux problem.

Good luck!

I agree, the OCC is fab.

Also Laura Tilson is fantastic, but she's currently on Mat Leave, but maybe worth dropping her an email.

I can second David Isherwood for all sorts of things, including reflux.
