SW London families needed for trainee Norland Nanny student placements

Postby NorlandCollege » Thu Jan 18, 2018 11:22 am

Since moving to its new premises in Bath at the end of last year, Norland, the world-famous nanny training college, has seen a big rise in its student numbers. Because of this, Norland is seeking families outside of Bath so that it can send all of the students out on a residential family placement.

“Now that we have so many new students at Norland College, we’re actually short of residential student placement families in the local area and so we’re trying to recruit some more in London, specifically those with a SW London postcode” says Placement Manager, Jo Brimble. “We’ll be sending our students out to family homes for residential placements in the weeks of 30 April, 7 May, 21 May and 28 May 2018 so that students can gain experience and pick up valuable skills based on the theory they’ve learnt.”

To qualify for free student placements, families need to have one child under 2, another child under 5 and a spare bedroom in the family home; at least one of those children must be at home between Mondays to Fridays.

The Norland students are studying for a BA (Hons) Early Years Development and Learning degree alongside the Norland Diploma. This academic year’s intake includes a record number of male students (4) and the first set of identical twins ever to study at Norland.

If you qualify for a student placement and would like to apply, email placements@norland.ac.uk with your address, telephone number and ages of your children before 9 February.
