BSL (British Sign Language) at Oak Lodge School / Deaf First in Balham.

Have you considered learning BSL - a rich, interesting and legally recognised language?

Have you considered your children learning this ... there is a big move to try and get BSL on all schools' curriculum. There are many benefits, not least fun, challenge and brain development.

At Oak Lodge School for the Deaf, deaf, hearing impaired and those with speech and language / communication needs, we run adult BSL classes from 6.30- 8.30 on weekdays and Saturday mornings. We offer from beginners - Level 1 to highly skilled - Level 6.

Based in Nightingale Lane, we are close to Clapham South and Balham underground stations and Wandsworth Common and Balham overground stations, all within easy walking distance. The G1 bus stops across the road.

With sufficient demand to cover costs, Deaf First would be very happy to start classes for children and young people ... or even family group classes! Perhaps we can offer individual or family tuition too?

If interested, please contact Barry Thompson, Head of Deaf First, directly on:
bsl-df@oaklodge.wandsworth.sch.uk

or phone on
0208 675 9751.

We hope to see you soon!
