Trendy and fun restaurant in City/Shoreditch

Evening all My husband has left it to me to book a table for quite an important lunch (not work) on a Friday lunchtime.  I'm after something a bit trendy and fun, but super nice too.  Our guests are in their 30's we're in our mid-40's so don't know where to go!  It's meant to be a treat but doesn't ...

Re: Which Managing Agent SW11?!!

Scarlett Dyer.  I know a few people that have used her and they all say she's totally brilliant.  My brother used her when he let his flat in Balham and said she was amazing, totally on top of everything.  Just googled her and she's got 58 five star reviews!  sm@scarlettdyer.co.uk

Good luck x

Re: is anger in elderly people a sign of something more than frustration/

My mother is definitely suffering from severe anger issues, it is incredibly hard to deal with.  She has cancer and has just had a hip replacement so is unwell, but is very very angry and I am not sure what to do.  Half term with her and the children both with entirely different needs was exceptiona...

Looking for photographer recommendations for a social media/website promotional shoot within Interiors sector

Good evening I run a business in Interiors and am looking for a photographer for a social media/website shoot in SW3.  I have regular photographers, but I'd like to try something a bit different and am looking for any recommendations.  The shoot would take place across venues in SW3, probably for ab...

Re: West Coast road trip

Super useful thread thank you!

We were also thinking of doing this trip but in the October half term - we get two weeks.  Is that too late in the year and will it be cold?  Thank you!

Re: Disney Orlando

Yes I would say it was well worth it if you want to do Disney 'properly'.  Having been, we thought on reflection that the Grand Floridian probably looked the best but obviously there are lots and we haven't visited many! You might also have to sell the family silver to pay for it that's the only thi...

Personal trainer for woman in her 70's

Dear all I am looking for a super gentle personal trainer - probably a woman - who would be able to look after my mother who is in her 70's.  My mother has not done well in lockdown, and I am trying to gently get her back into exercise.  I am sad to say she is incredibly unfit and needs extremely ge...

Re: in laws constantly duck out of helping with our children

That used to happen to us all the time.  My children are a bit older now (as am I) and I have accepted it. My family don't help either so we really don't have anyone, but we are lucky in other ways so I try and live with that.  It's hard though and probably really upsetting - I always saw it as a re...

Gardener for flat tidy pre sale SW12

Good evening I was wondering if anyone might be able to recommend a gardener for a garden tidy for a flat in SW12 before it is put up for sale?  The flat has been rented and needs a bit of a sort out (nothing huge).  It would need to be this week if possible - I reckon about half a day. Thanks so mu...

Re: If my baby is born in Kingston Hospital what will be the place of birth?' London' or 'Kingston Upon Thames'?

This is quite interesting actually.  Mine were both born at the Portland and it says London.  Never even thought about it!  I was also born in Hammersmith Hospital (40+ years ago) and mine also says London.

Re: Experience of good areas to move to in Surrey/Hampshire and prep schools nearby?

We moved out from Wandsworth two years ago (still check this site as it reminds me of my old life plus it is very useful!) and having looked all over Surrey and Hampshire we have ended up in West Berkshire.  It's a more rural life where we are but we are but we should eventually get Crossrail so has...

Re: Worried abut letting friends down on a holiday

Our friends have cancelled on us.  It's our family home though so there is not money involved in the same way, but I totally understand.  They have four children and as their flights were cancelled they'd have to drive which they didn't think was possible.  Maybe this wasn't the reason though, maybe...
