Re: how many arguments is too many?

I think it varies per couple so hard to say what's normal/concerning.

If you both want to stop, then a brilliant person to help with this is Sally https://thelisteningroom.co/. She's got some good resources (video etc) on her website which might be worth starting with.

Re: How much does private healthcare cost and is it worth it?

My family has cover with WPA. A few things that made me opt for them: - It's a not-for-profit organisation - I have an individual I can call, who helped arrange the cover and also can help if I've got any questions along the way.  - Not all claims have to go via a GP as long as they're pre-approved....

Re: Counselling

Sarah is a coach who is very empathetic and works exclusively in this area. I would really recommend having a conversation with her to see if she's right for you - https://www.sarah-woodward.com/ Another great person is Alice who is a psychologist who specialises in helping people at turning points ...

Re: Will beneficiaries - advice please

I'd agree with the idea of reviewing your wills over time as you'll probably find your wishes change. For now, a really good person to talk this through with would be Arabella Murphy - https://propitiouslondon.com/.

Re: NV/Balham/Hyde farm - quietest streets. Advice needed

We're on Midmoor and I'd agree that it's extremely quiet. If the wind is in the right (wrong?) direction, we sometimes hear the odd train in the night. If there's any plane noise, it really stands out because it's an exception to the rule- I'm not sure I've ever seen one directly over head. (We've b...

Re: Husband has taken the kids away without consent after an argument

Priya Gill is a really lovely, experienced family lawyer who can assist with divorce and child arrangements. I would strong advise seeking legal advice sooner rather than later so you know where you stand, and what steps you can take.  https://www.familylawyerlondon.co.uk/services-divorce-family-law...

Re: Menopause Woes - Please help

Another recommendation for trying a homeopathic approach. (I am not someone who typically subscribes to this, but it did wonders for me!)

Sarah Davison specialises in the menopause and is a lovely person to talk to.

Re: Can anyone recommend an amazing tutor who can help my 10 yr old son who has processing issues /dyslexia

We are going through similar issues with my 9 year old son at the moment. Like yours, he is bright so has done fine for a long time - but struggles with processing speed, attention and, in his case, writing.  I was recommended to contact Hema Desai by a friend, and she has been brilliant. A really w...

Re: Cohabitation Agreements

I would really recommend talking to Priya Gill, a family lawyer who does a lot of work in this area - https://www.familylawyerlondon.co.uk/. I'm sure she'd be happy to talk you through how you can protect your respective interests.

Re: Divorce / family Lawyer

May I also put a word in for Kim who posted earlier in this thread. I know her to be both kind and clear in her communication, and extremely focused on the steps you need to take to navigate a 'successful' divorce. It is never pleasant, but there are ways - and people - to make it the least painful ...

Re: Lambeth planning: L-shaped dormer loft conversion on period flat / maisonette

We did a pre-application on this a few years ago, and got a flat 'no'. The reason I was given in speaking with them was that they don't like them because they're not in keeping with the original architecture and the planning is within their control. The reason houses in this area have them is becaus...

Re: Baby Sitting Agencies - any feedback

I use the bubble app for babysitters. I have the same situation where I will often have meetings come up at short notice in the early evening. We have always had such a lovely babysitters that my children have enjoyed spending time with. You post your requirements on the app and those who are intere...

Re: Post Nuptials - pre separation/divorce advice

May I recommend Kim Marshall who has already introduced herself here. She is experienced in working on international cases and works hard for her clients. As well as being a really lovely person she knows what it's like to be in your shoes. It's worth calling all of those that have been recommended ...

Re: Will writing recommendation please

I work with a specialist will writing firm that does a free review of existing wills and recommend changes - whether you can update the will or better off starting again, for example. They are also STEP qualified (https://www.step.org/for-the-public). As they are based in York, this keeps the cost d...
