We’re in the midst of Child Safety Week, set up to reiterate the importance of anticipating and preventing unnecessary childhood accidents, and our friends at First Aid for Life have written Burns, Falls and Emergency calls, an important book for parents or those working with or caring for children. Neon Leon visits Balham Literary Festival on Saturday for children aged 3 and up. He’s so very bright that he keeps the other chameleons up at night – will he ever find a place to fit in..? (read more)

Author Sarah Driver presents The Huntress at The Bedford for those aged 9 and over, also as part the Balham Literary Festival on Sunday.  It’s all going on down SW12 way! (read more)

Just three more sleeps until the Ritherdon Road Street Party when cars will be gone and people will take over the street for a day of fun and community spirit fuelled by 60 food stalls, boutique traders and exhibitors as well as a live stage for entertainment galore.  Let’s do a sun dance from now on! Nurturing Mums start another of their 5-week courses in Earlsfield next week, so if you have a babe in arms and would love to get together with others at the same stage and have the chance to chat and ask questions about sleep, weaning, development and first aid, then this is for you. (read more)

The NCT Wee Wombles Outdoor Playgroup meets weekly on Mondays in Wimbledon with bumps, babies and toddlers all welcome and simple activities on offer like play-doh prints, chalk drawing and puddle splashing (weather permitting!) (read more)
